Greetings to all.
We have had an eventful last few days. Two of us did infact preach in Tanzania. Roger Fritz and I were the lucky "volunteers". Roger preached a sermon in Egagla and I preached in Kaliua. I don't think the Diocese of Tabora will ever be the same. If you don't think that Tanzania has any amusement parks, try taking some of their country back roads.
After some much needed down time Sunday evening, we returned to the construction site and clinic on Monday for our last day of work. We were able to complete the dormatory foundation. Bishop Makaya has stated that we all got more done than they expected. (thanks for the vote of confidence from the Bishop). After getting through the language barrier and sharpening our masonry skills, we all got the hang of things and were able to work more quickly.
The last day on the sight was an emotional one however, as we all formed some new friendships and will be keeping in touch after our return home.
Tuesday evening, we were treated to an amazing sendoff dinner and celebration. Many gifts were exchaged along with many tears (ask Dick Bird about his new hat!). The Holy Spirit has touched and challenged all of us in ways we never could have dreamed. We are excited to share it with all of you upon our return.
We are now back in Dar es Salam after a relaxing flight on Precision Air. Tonmorrow we will begin the L-O-N-G jouney home. We miss all of you and will see you soon.
Brad & Dan Good
P.S. I believe the sermons were a one-time only attraction
