[St. Paul's Church-news] Still on schedule!

Good morning all!

Brad called this morning at 5:15am (our time) to say they were safely in London and awaiting the long security process before heading back to the states. The good news: they will be ON TIME from London to Chicago. The bad news: who knows after that in Chicago.

They made it through the first security checkpoint in London and were currently in the security line that was 'hand' searching everyone before heading to their gate. Let me clarify the "line" - it goes through the entire airport, outside around the corner and through the parking garage! I asked what would happen if they did not make it to the front of the line before their flight. Brad said they are pulling people from the line to make their flights in order to stay on schedules!

In Chicago, they will have to get their luggage from Baggage Claim and then check it onto the connecting flight to Philly. They will not have the luxury of the luggage automatically being transferred to the plane. This means they will have to go through all of the security check points again before heading home. I will give you an update once they are in Chicago. They are expected to land at 3:25 (4:25pm our time) and depart for Philly at 6:15 (7:15pm our time) to arrive at 9:25pm. Any changes I will let you know.

Brad's cellphone was boxed and put in his luggage, therefore I will not hear from him until they get in Chicago, except for an emergency or schedule change which he will find a phone to contact me. Everyone is holding up, yet tired and anxious to get home. Have a good day and I'll be in touch.

  God Bless,
  Shannon
