Hello everyone! This is Shannon, Brad's wife. Brad just called and asked me to ask all of you to keep them in your prayers as they have had an eventful journey so far.
As of last night, due to the storm, they did not leave Chicago until 3 hours after their departure time. They sat on in the plane waiting to take off for 2.5 hours. Once off, they landed in London and called me around 4:30am (Friday) to say they had 15 minutes to make their connection to Nairobi. Fortunately, they made the connection but their luggage did not. The landed in Nairobi and after a short time in air heading to Dar es Salaam (where they planned to sleep until the next day's flight to Tabora, their final destination), the pilot turned around due to a problem with the plane. As of 5pm (Friday) our time, they are awaiting the plane to be fixed so they can head to Dar es Salaam. They are praying their luggage will catch up with them so please start the prayer chain to make sure their luggage eventually catches up with them.
Their flight is not until 10:30am tomorrow (Saturday, their time) so they should be fine. They are all keeping their spirits up and are still excited about their adventure.
I will keep you updated until Brad can update you himself from Tabora. Thank you for your continued prayers and support.
Shannon Good
